Today a new cat cafe has opened in Lansing, called Cats and Coffee. In this cafe there is a wide variety of coffees and lattes along with a collection of adorable and adoptable cats and kittens.
The owner used to be a barista at Starbucks when one day she decided she wanted to open a cat cafe. It took months of planning but eventually she was able to open up Cats and Coffee last weekend. The owner said: I look forward to everyone relaxing with a coffee and playing with the cats, but I hope that they all find homes.
Although the customers in the cafe enjoy playing with the cats the goal of the cafe is to get the cats adopted into new homes. So far 15 cats have been placed in new loving homes thanks to the cafe. MEOW!
